LEGO Goes F1 Fast This Summer With Formula 1 Cars

It’s a glorious time to be a Formula 1 racing fan in Canada right now! Montreal recently hosted its annual race event, which appeared to be a success this year, and promises an even better event in 2026. We are less than a month away from the F1 cars tearing up Toronto again in the Honda Dealers Indie on the weekend of July 18th to the 20th.

And finally, for those of us who need a break from the heat, the Canadian premiere of F1: The Movie is coming to an air-conditioned theatre near you on June 27th. The Danish brick-building institution LEGO is certainly feeling Canadians’ love for F1, and they are sharing in it by providing F1 build kits for all ages and skill levels.

In the mid-1990s, after a couple of disastrous seasons for the Williams racing team, British engineer, aerodynamicist, automotive designer, and later motorsport executive Adrian Newey arrived at the team’s garage. He offered a new and more affordable car that would propel the team to the kind of success they had been dreaming of. The resulting Williams Racing FW14B even convinced veteran British racing legend Nigel Mansell to put off retirement in pursuit of a Formula One World Drivers’ Championship.

The Williams Racing FW14B was raced during the 1991 and 1992 seasons, and led Mansell to the very title he stayed in F1 racing for.

Put together 799 pieces to create this legendary, truly ’90s coloured machine, as well as a Nigel Mansell Minifigure, complete with Championship trophy. Both include a stand featuring car facts, a likeness of Mansell, and a quote about greatness.
